Welcome

Founded in March of 2011, Roads to Justice North Carolina’s mission is “to educate women and girls of rural North Carolina of their legal rights, and to empower them to remove impediments to success for themselves and their families.”

Roads to Justice NC travels to rural, marginalized communities to conduct legal workshops and clinics, and disperse information cards and self-help legal handbooks containing tools for women and girls to become better advocates when working within the legal system.

Examples of workshop topics include:

  • Employment and housing issues for people with criminal records
  • School discipline law and collateral consequences
  • How to advocate for your child with special needs
  • Consumer Credit Issues
  • Entrepreneurship and the Law
  • Family Law
  • Health and the Law
  • Immigration
  • Elder Law

Future projects will include online resources, including video presentations and podcasts.

We are a non-profit corporation in the process of receiving our 501(c)(3) status.
